i have tested my video card it with dacris benchmarks.

and it seems to indicate 2d is running at 550mb/s or more with just one
monitor, but when i activate and span my desktop over 2 monitors it drops to
aprox 100mb/s

the 3d test is the same speed with one or two monitors active, but my main
concern is the 2d as most of my work is 2d,

my vid card is a RADEON 9250

any idea how i can use 2 monitors without such a drop in performance -
other than installing a 2nd vid card

thanks

Any question about diagnostic results should really be addressed to whoever
wrote the diagnostic - they are the only ones who know what they are testing
and what factors affect the test results. In this case I would guess that
the diagnostic is sensitive to the desktop size. However, it could simply be
that the CPU has become the bottleneck, and video update operations are now
being slowed because the CPU has to drive two video cards instead of one.

i just tryed the test on my sys with 9700 pro barton 2500+ 1 gig ddr 3200
ram 80 gig wd drive and i have not found a 80% reduction in speed. here is
my results

2d one monitor 1051 mp/s
2d 2 monitorrs 924 mp/s
3d one monitor 3.17 Mtps
3d 2 monitors 3.17 Mtps

overall the sys test said my ram was "ram still overclocked" to fast for cpu
and hard disk was to fast ?
im not over clocking the cpu right now so that why the ram said to fast but
the hard drive i dont understand.
im not shur why the 3d test is the same but i did see the slower 2d results
but not 80% like you found.
ill retest it again later. all tests were preformed with out rebooting "sys
has been up and runing for 2 weeks with out rebooting"
